“The music is all around us, all you have to do is listen.” [August Rush]
Some movies have a special kind of magic. And this one caught me completely with it. Despite the fact that the story appears a little bit too unrealistic I loved the scenes where August Rush (Freddie Highmore) plays his music. They facilitate such a joy, such as like every musician would dream up for himself. And I couldn’t help and uncase my flute and play 🙂
I painted that picture while listening to the movie’s soundtrack and remembered the joy on the actor’s face. It shows one of my favorite scenes in which August and his father are dueling playing their guitars.
Unfortunately the picture can’t quite reproduce this kind of expression but in any case I really enjoyed the painting process.
